It is with the empathy and kindness we want for our own loved ones that we treat every patient in our practice.

We look forward to welcoming you and to meeting you in person. In the meantime, you can learn a little about our staff by reading our biographies below.

Dr Mostafa Hussain

Principal Dentist

Dr Mostafa comes from a family of healthcare providers and always admired the relationships that his family developed with the people they care for. With a background in physics and engineering, Dr Mostafa decided that dentistry was the perfect profession for him. By combining the art and science of dentistry, he satisfies both his desire to design and his passion for expressing his creative talent.

‘Dentistry challenges and rewards me every day’. – Dr Mostafa

Developing meaningful and warm relationships with patients provides Dr Mostafa with endless satisfaction and meaning in his professional career.

Dr Mostafa Hussain earned his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Western Australia in 2013 and is currently working toward his gIDE Institute Masters Clinician Program for Dental Implants to advance his skills.

When he's relaxing, you will find Dr Mostafa spending time with his wife and following soccer as an avid fan. He also enjoys creating new culinary delights for his family and friends. Dr Mostafa and his wife recently expanded their family and were delighted to welcome their first child in 2018.

Dr Yousr Kanbour

Dentist

Dr Yousr graduate from University of Western Australia with a Bachelor in Dental Science in 2014.

In her practice of dentistry, Dr Yousr believes that confidence begins with a winning, beautiful smile, and it is her passion to transform a patient's smile one tooth at a time.

Gentle dentistry is part of our philosophy at Melville Family Dental, and patients leave their anxiety at the door when they attend an appointment with Dr Yousr. With Netflix on the screen and laughter and banter with her dental assistants, patients often feel they are visiting their friend, not just their dentist.

Above all, Dr Yousr's professionalism stands out by providing the most predictable, ethical, high-quality dental care.

In her spare time, Dr Yousr loves to bake, travel and play lacrosse – all in her dreams, however, as she loves her sleep.

Dr Aus Hmud

Dentist

Dr Aus (pronounced 'house' with a silent 'h') graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor in Dental Science in 2008.

Throughout his career, he has gained broad dental experience working in both the private and public dental health services. Dr Aus is exceptionally meticulous and enjoys all aspects of dentistry, specifically oral surgery. That's why in 2016, he decided to go on to complete postgraduate studies, and he graduated with a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Dental Implantology from Griffith University.

Dr Aus personifies Melville Family Dental's ethos of preventative dentistry. He passionately believes that prevention is better than cure, and creates holistic treatment plans that aim to preserve teeth in the long term.

Dr Aus is married and has two little ones that keep him busy. When not at work, Dr Aus enjoys spending time with his family, reading and running. Unlike Dr Yousr, he has no dreams because he hardly sleeps with two kids under the age of four!
